The officer who beat the woman got fired, but no charges were filed! There is a petition online to press charges against him, we need 2000 votes but only have 720. Please post this link next to the video so people can sign! www.thepetitionsite.com www.abcnews.go.com After Angela Garbarino was arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana last November on suspicion of drunk driving, she wound up lying on the police station floor in a pool of her own blood with two black eyes, a broken nose, two broken teeth, and other cuts and bruises. Garbarino says that Officer Wiley Willis beat her up after turning off the police video camera. Willis's attorney insists that Garbarino slipped and fell when Willis tried to prevent her from leaving the room. However, Garbarino says that the extent of her injuries are proof that she was beaten. The police video obtained by ABC News shows Garbarino demanding the right to make a phone call. "I have the right to call somebody right now and I know that," she yells. Officer Willis instead begins handcuffing her. She wiggles away, he pulls her back sharply by her wrists, and she hits the wall and falls on the floor. Willis pushes her down into a chair three successive times as she repeatedly stands up again, increasingly distraught and screaming, "Get away from me!" Willis is finally shown leaning over her and asking, "Do you understand me?" to which she replies, "Yeah, I understand." Willis then walks over and turns off the camera. When the video resumes ...

Police Brutality: MANASSAS, Va. - Prince William County Police responded to a noise complaint at a child's baptism party. By the time they left, a grandfather and a pregnant woman had been Tasered. On Tuesday night, a Manassas family said cops went too far. The 55-year-old homeowner is a church family counselor and a bible study teacher. He says he was hosting a party for his new godchild. However, he and the pregnant mother of the baptized boys face serious charges. Relatives are charging police used excessive force just to quiet down the backyard party. Family members say it was supposed to be a happy day to celebrate the baptism of the two little boys. Home video captures the party moments before police arrive following a noise complaint. You can hear children's laughter above the sound of music. Edgar Rodriguez says the backyard celebration came to an abrupt halt. After some confusion, his 55-year-old father, Edgar Rodriguez, Sr. says he was asked for an ID and handed it over. Then, he was Tasered three times. The elder Rodriguez explains how he pulls out his wallet. Interpreting for his father, Edgar says, "He took out his wallet. He had the license in his hand and gave his wallet to his wife. When he lifted up his hands with his license, he started feeling the electric shock in his back." "All of a sudden he got Tasered in the back and then this side, and then officer in the front of him Tasered him from the front. My dad was not under arrest. We never heard anyone ...

Welcome to "The Police States of America". Racist pig arrests a young black male (a so called thug) for walking down the street. This pig thinks this young man has no right to wear his pants the way he wants to in Amerikkka. Police are allowed to violate our civil rights everyday, I guess we are only free until a police officer does not agree with how we look or dress. "Down The Pig"

Police Brutality: How does a law-abiding mom driving home with two kids end up being Tasered, handcuffed and arrested — while her children are left alone for 40 minutes in the car, waiting for someone to come get them? Thats a question that Audra Harmon hopes will be answered by a lawsuit she has filed against the Onondaga County (NY) Sheriffs Department. In the process, she and her attorney told TODAYs Meredith Vieira Friday in New York, they hope to spur a debate over whether police should be carrying Tasers at all. The suit, seeking unspecified monetary damages on an array of charges including false arrest and police brutality, has been filed, said attorney Terrance Hoffman, to bring awareness not only that anybody can be a potential victim, but also awareness to the police officers who have the Tasers to be a little more judicious and think it out a little more before they use this kind of device. Then the overall picture is whether or not Tasers should be used in law enforcement. See the whole story here: today.msnbc.msn.com

Police Brutality: Nowadays the Web seems awash with videos of police using Tasers on people for reasons that are not always immediately clear. The most famous is the 2007 video of a student screaming, Dont Tase me, bro! as police repeatedly shock him at a political event. To the list, add the video of Audra Harmon being yanked from her car by a deputy and then shocked to her knees on a rural road for reasons Harmon still doesnt understand. A 38-year-old mother of three who has been driving school buses for 11 years, Harmon has said that she didnt even know exactly what a Taser was until one was used on her after a routine traffic stop last Jan. 31 in the upstate New York county outside of Syracuse. Harmon had been driving home with her 15-year-old son, whom she had just picked up from wrestling practice, and 5-year-old daughter. She said she was resting her right hand on her cheek as she pulled behind a sheriffs deputy to make a right turn onto the road where she lived. After she made the turn, the deputy pulled off the road to let her pass, then pulled out behind her with his lights flashing and siren blaring. Full story here: today.msnbc.msn.com

Police Brutality: DASH CAM VIDEO: www.cnjonline.com Tucumcari Police Chief Roger Hatcher has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into last weeks Taser shooting of a teenage girl. Hatcher said he shot two Taser darts at Kailee Martinez, 14, Thursday while responding to a domestic dispute between the girl and her mother. One hit her in the head and the other struck her back. Martinez said she was released from Albuquerques University of New Mexico Hospital on Sunday following a two-hour surgery to remove one of the darts from her head. The surgery left her with 18 staples and six stitches. "I feel good being home," Martinez said Tuesday. "It is a lot better than being in a hospital." Martinez mother, Stacy Akin, said she drove her daughter to police headquarters after they fought about a cell phone. Hatcher said the girl walked away from the police station and when he talked with Akin she had a bloody lip and scratches from a fight. Hatcher said he found the girl in a city park, but when he tried to talk to her she ran into traffic without looking. Hatcher said he was unable to catch her and used the stun gun because he didnt know where she might go and he had to get her stopped. "I was going to the park to clear my mind," Martinez said. "I go there when I get angry. It is a place where I can calm down." Martinez said she saw Hatcher drive around the park and did not want to stay there and deal with him. She said she was walking ...

Police Brutality in Pittsburgh after the G20

In what was possibly the most surreal, horrific, and unimaginable thing I have ever witnessed in my life, 1200 Riot Police and Military Personal rabidly attacked a group of well under 300 American citizens, many of them just students that were unaware there was even a protest going on. They then expanded their perimeter and shut large areas of Oakland down. This is how my last experience at the G20 in Pittsburgh went down, out of control authorities mercilessly attacking an unarmed crowd with batons, tear gas, pepper spray, sound weapons, and rubber bullets. Around 10pm on Friday night, long after the vast majority of dignitaries and protesters had left, it became evident that the outrageous show of force by the Military and Police was not enough to stave off their thirst for blood. (Video courtesy - www.komonews.com) Seattle police are again under fire over allegations of violence, the second time in only a matter of weeks. Video footage appeared to show a Seattle officer punching a teenage girl in the face after stopping her for jaywalking. That followed a case a few weeks before where police were caught beating an unarmed and innocent Mexican man. A scandal also erupted last year with an officer convicted of a vicious attack on a 15-year-old girl in a jail cell.

seattletimes.nwsource.com SEATTLE -- Seattle police are investigating what they call an assault of an officer in South Seattle. However, a police officer is seen punching a 17-year-old girl in the face during the incident captured by a video camera on Monday. According to Seattle police, the incident began when an officer spotted a man jaywalking in the 3100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way S. at approximately 3:10 pm The man was some 15 feet away from a pedestrian overpass, police said. The officer was talking to the man when he saw four young women jaywalk across the same street at the same spot. The officer asked the women to step over to his patrol car, but the women were being "verbally antagonistic toward the officer," according to officials. One of the women, later identified as a 19 year old, began to walk away from the scene despite the officer's instructions, prompting the officer to walk over to her and escort her back to his patrol car. The girl then "began to tense up her arm, and pull away from the officer while yelling at him," investigators said. The officer told the girl to place her hands on his patrol car, but she refused. When the officer tried to grab hold of her, "she pulled away and twisted, breaking free of the officer's grip several times," the blotter report said. When the officer tried to handcuff the girl, another girl, this one 17 years old, intervened and placed her hands on the officer's arm, "causing the officer to believe she was ...

Police Brutality: Cop Relentlessly Beats Unarmed Driver UPDATED!

April 16, 2010 — Chicago - A Streamwood police officer's own dashboard camera has proven to be his downfall. Officer James Mandarino is facing charges of aggravated battery and official misconduct after he was caught on video beating an unarmed motorist. The video, recorded March 28 after a traffic stop, shows Mandarino getting out of his squad car with his gun drawn, and approaching an SUV driven by 28 year old Ronald Bell of Streamwood. Bell is seen with his hands up for about a minute and a half before Mandorino orders and then pulls him to the ground. The video shows Mandorino beating Bell with his baton 15 times in 13 seconds. All the while, Bell is trying to protect himself. He was beaten on the head, back and arms and suffered a concussion and required seven stitches to close a gash on his right ear. Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez announced the charges Thursday after a two week investigation. "The conduct displayed on the video by this officer is not only disturbing, it's outrageous and it's unacceptable," Alvarez said. "Every law enforcement officer holds his or her powers through the public trust and this officer's senseless act of rage against an unarmed motorist constitutes an offensive violation of that trust." Mandorino posted bond and was released after court. The 15-year veteran with the Streamwood police has been relieved of his duties and put on paid administrative leave according to the department. As he left court reporters peppered him with ...
