An excellent piece of main stream coverage on this past weekend, I'm sure this video wont be up long, but figured the folks looking at the vids on this channel would appreciate it. Thanks for an excellent piece Lawrence O'donnel Follow the live stream of the occupy wall street protests here: www.livestream.com This may seem insignificant to some, but this is where REAL reform starts. These protests are filled with individual who have a quarrel with how corrupt our government and federal bank have become. Many have their own message, many just know they are not happy and want to create a better society for themselves and their fellow Americans. The corruption of the FED is avoided by the main stream media, make your own assumptions as to why, but one of the goals of these protestors is to bring light to some of these facts. The FED has handed out over Trillion to private banks and corporations in the past 4 years and NONE of this was addressed in the mainstream news nor was it approved of by the people. This is clearly a red flag!! Look at these reputable links below that PROVE my statements are true, and spread them around. Dont allow these protestors sacrifices to be in vain!! In 2011, Time magazine named "The Protester" the person of the year. During those 12 months, however, police brutality seems to have become incredibly common place in America, and sadly the target all too often is the protester. From pepper spray to Tasers and even flash grenades, it seems that cops are acting more and more aggressive towards the non-violent. Sahar Aziz, professor of law at Texas Wesleyan University, joins us with her take on the rising trend. Like us and/or follow us: twitter.com www.facebook.com

It is essential for civilians to document their encounters with police officers to ensure transparency, accountability, and safety to all of those involved. Police departments have, for too long, tried to bully, intimidate, threaten, arrest, or otherwise harass law abiding citizens from recording the activities of law enforcement in public. TRANSCRIPT: lybio.net Ian Birk, 27, who joined the department two years ago, was on patrol Monday afternoon when he saw John T. Williams crossing Boren Avenue at Howell Street carrying a folding knife and a piece of wood. The officer pulled his cruiser over and approached Williams, police officials said. Police say Birk ordered him to drop the knife three times before he fired five shots from a distance of nine to 10 feet killing him. The knife was found closed www.komonews.com Initial reports by the police were that the man advanced on the officer with the knife; however, the department on Tuesday said it could no longer be sure that occurred. Sean Whitcomb, the police department's spokesman, said Wednesday that the department was looking for additional witnesses to the shooting or anyone who might have been with Williams earlier in the day. Birk has been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Alex Castas, general manager of Ye Olde Curiosity Shop on the Seattle waterfront, said his shop has been buying carvings from Williams' family for five generations, stretching back to the 1880s, when the shop used to buy from tribal members paddling up in canoes. He said he had known Williams for 15 years, and never known him to be violent, though he often knew Williams to be incoherent because of drinking. "I can definitely see a scenario where John had been drinking and it is taking him a while to focus exactly on what is going on; I ...

Occupy Oakland has been in the spotlight when it comes to the Occupy Wall Street movement as a whole. On Tuesday of this week, protesters in the Bay Area were arrested during the May Day celebrations there after the police clashed with demonstrators rallying in support of the general strike that took place around the country. Video has surfaced of cops knocking people off their bicycles and arresting them. Oakland police have been chastised before over their questionable mishandling of peaceful protesters, but will any of this change? Laura Long, Occupy Oakland activist, joins us with her take on what went down this May Day. Like us and/or follow us: twitter.com www.facebook.com

Infowars Nightly News reporter Darrin McBreen will highlight the dramatic rise of police brutality over the last two decades happening in our country. Whereas the LAPD's beating of Rodney King during the 1992 LA riots seemed so shocking it became an iconic event that outraged many across the country, the police use of undue force has become commonplace today, typically prompting little notice or outrage. From illegal' lemonade stands to little girls blowing bubbles and school violence from offenders as young as five, to peaceful Occupy protesters and more, police have carried out orders to criminalize what was once ordinary American life. How did we get this far? Darrin McBreen investigates. www.infowars.com ww.prisonplanet.tv
